In this four-disc set, Sil van der Woerd reveals the entire production process of making Worms, a music video in which Sil integrated live action footage with complex digital sets and characters to create imaginative worlds. The first disc in this set gives a general overview of the entire production pipeline.

In this series of tutorials, we will go through the process to transition from live action footage to a comic style drawing of a zombie. We start out by re-timing our footage to pause on the keyframes that we will use to create the zombie drawings. We then do a quick discussion over the process for doing some drawings of this style in Adobe's Illustrator, however the drawing process is not step-by-step because we want to focus on the After Effects processes.

In this series of After Effects tutorials, we learn how to add depth to a 2D image using masking, camera, and compositing tricks.

We will start by discussing what kinds of images are best to use for shots like this and then we discuss how to decide where we are going to break our image apart. After masking our layers to split them up, we give them some Z-depth and animate a camera to bring our scene to life. From there, we add elements like birds and particles that add to our depth and help sell realism in our scene. By the end of the training, we will have gone from a completely still image to a scene that feels alive.
